Outer Banks Press

Outer Banks Press, owned by Kitty Hawk resident Linda Lauby, is an award-winning independent publishing company that in part produces distinctive bespoke books of literary, artistic and photographic merit.

We began in the 1990s as a magazine publisher and advertising agency, and soon added consulting and design services. While producing real estate rental brochures, magazines and collateral materials, we added custom book publishing to our roster of services in 2001.

A typical day is anything but typical: it consists of writing and editing, conducting photo shoots, generating ideas, designing books and websites, creating menus, launching fund-raising campaigns, managing print projects, testing recipes, producing media kits and focusing on customer service -- and it almost always includes a trip to the beach.

If you've seen artistically decorated fiberglass horses on the Outer Banks, that's us. We sponsor public art projects, with the goal of further promoting the arts and protecting our natural resources while celebrating life on these barrier islands. And, we benefit local charities and non-profits through these endeavors. Click on Public Art in the menu above for information on our new public art project, which we are launching to benefit the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.
