INTRODUCING...
Surf and Skate Magazine
Ever since his first year working with Outer Banks Press, Greg Bailey
has taken his daughter, Madeline, to sales meetings, food shoots, staff
meetings and on breakneck runs to the UPS drop box. By age 8, she was
figuring out the intricacies of Adobe PhotoShop, and by age 9, she had
already named a company for a new client and had suggested marketing
taglines. Therefore, we weren’t too surprised – but rather, thrilled – when
Madeline and two of her friends launched Surf & Skate Magazine,
otherwise known as SAS.
Madeline Bailey, along with fellow Kitty Hawk Elementary School
fourth-graders Alex Nolte and Taylor Bancroft, started SAS in fall of
2005, and with some help from their parents, printed four-color
magazines and distributed them to family, friends and schoolmates.
